Outlines Dish Brush
The brush follows Outline’s product strategy of splitting a product into two parts: the handle is reused, and the brush head is recycled. New brush heads are shipped on subscription, and returned to Outlines for recycling.
I looked for ways to give the brush a premium feel while keeping unit and tooling costs low. The result is a 3mm thick aluminum sheet that is die cut and bent. Silicone and plastic parts are overmolded. The rectangular silicone handle is substantial and comfortable, without a curvy overly-ergonomic shape.
The bristle head attaches through a twist-and-lock. We worked with our engineering team
to create bristles from recycled plastic, an industry first.
